Z±ION MEMBRANE PROTECTION SYSTEM
The Z±Ion system is a revolutionary adaptation of an older metal ion-based technology that helps protect the Spectra watermaker's RO membrane and filters from biological growth, prolonging their lifespan.
This system floods the water treatment plant with silver/copper ions that accumulate in the filters and membranes, causing microbial death and creating an unfavorable environment for their development.
As a result, the membranes remain clean for up to 30 days and the water treatment plant is ready to operate without any additional washing, external feed, harsh chemicals or complex procedures.
The Z±Ion system automatically kicks in during the fresh water rinse cycle (consuming only 15 watts) and only needs to be repeated every 30 days.
It is available as an accessory for a new Spectra or as a kit to upgrade an existing watermaker and is compatible with Spectra Ventura, Cape Horn, Catalina and Newport models.
