Z±ION MEMBRANE PROTECTION SYSTEM
The Z±Ion system is a revolutionary adaptation of an ancient technology based on metal ions that helps protect the RO membrane and filters of the Spectra watermaker from biological growth, extending their useful life.
This system floods the watermaker with silver/copper ions that accumulate in the filters and membranes, causing microbial death and creating an unfavorable environment for their development.
As a result, the membranes stay clean for up to 30 days and the watermaker is ready to go without any additional washing, external power, harsh chemicals or complex procedures.
The Z±Ion system kicks in automatically during the fresh water rinse cycle (only draws 15 watts) and only needs to be repeated every 30 days.
It is available as an accessory to a new Spectra or as a kit to upgrade an existing watermaker and is compatible with Spectra Ventura, Cape Horn, Catalina and Newport models.
