STEPS TO FOLLOW AFTER THE WINTERIZATION PROCESS OF YOUR BOAT DESALINATION PLANT

PASOS A SEGUIR DESPUÉS DEL PROCESO DE INVERNAJE O HIBERNACIÓN DE TU DESALINIZADORA DE BARCO

After months of inactivity, your seawater treatment plant needs more than just power and operation. Here's a step-by-step guide on what to do after winterization to ensure your equipment is working perfectly, extending its lifespan and preventing breakdowns just when you need it most:

1.      Before starting anything, visually inspect that all components are in good condition: hoses, connections, pre-filters, pumps, and wiring.

2.      With the system stopped, disconnect the production tube and redirect the flow to the sea or to a bucket.

3.      Turn on the low pressure pump for 2-3 minutes and let all the bubbles out of the system.

4.      Turn on the high-pressure pump and slowly increase the pressure to 55 or 57 bar (depending on the manufacturer's specifications), observing that the air bubbles disappear in the flow meter.

5.      Discharge fresh water for 10 minutes directly into the sea.

6.      Lower the system pressure, stop the system and reconnect the production tube to the potable water tank.

We hope this has been helpful, but remember that if you have any questions, it's always best to contact your trusted technician.
